Town of Vis is located in the north-eastern part of the Island Vis in the bottom of a well protected bay. It has a rich culturally monumental heritage ( English tower fort Wellington, towers Perasti and Bentinck Terjun, fort George,  fort Batarija, War memorial – Royal airforce WW2, Archaeological museum, Mamma Mia Sophie’s house ).

Vis became very popular because of Mamma Mia 2 filming on it’s beautiful locations.

It has well equipped sport and recreation centre with four tennis grounds, a basketball and a football ground. There is also sailing, a cricket and a paragliding club in Vis. It is possible to dive outside the town together with other divers in two diving centres. Popular activities are also mountain climbing and  bicycle driving.

The island of Vis has been blessed not only with beautiful nature and crystal clear sea, but also with numerous beautiful beaches (large gravel beaches, small secluded pebble spots, long and shallow sandy beaches as well as isolated stone slabs that offer unique experience).
